Bill Viola video artist

American video artist Bill Viola discovered video in 1969 and is seen by many of his peers as a pioneer who is constantly at the forefront of contemporary video installations. His work has been seen around the world and he shows no signs of slowing down creating video installations that simply takes your breath away. In this interview by Christian Lund from the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art Bill Viola talks about his own spirituality and the feelings that have influenced him in his artistic development over the years and the childhood accident that nearly killed him and which had such an impact on his work. http://player.vimeo.com/video/64302189
