The acclaimed 2017 short film The Suitcase launched the career of a young woman filmmaker, Abi Damaris Corbin, who some say is going to be the next Cathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker ). The writer director, started her filmmaking career at the graduate Cinematic Arts program at USC after doing a master’s degree at the young age of nineteen.

She is both creative and innovative. Whilst at USC she helped to develop cutting-edge cloud-based post-production technologies that became SMPTE standards working with USC’s Entertainment Technology Centre. She is now set to make her mark in Hollywood writing and directing her first feature film. Here is her story and watch the trailer of her short film The Suitcase.
